Our Story

Stay Toasty started the way most good things do — by not following the plan.

The plan was business school. One year in, I discovered Tofino, BC — and that was that. After a magical summer on Vancouver Island — and realizing surfing in the snow wasn't for me — Enter Whistler. "One season" (iykyk) turned into over a decade.

That life led me to chase snow around the world — a season in Japan working at a snow shop in Niseko, another in New Zealand at a shop on the mountain in Queenstown.

Eventually I got into tree planting, which let me work my ass off in the summers and have winters free. With Whistler as home base, I spent years bouncing around the world — Hawaii, Australia, Central/South America, SE Asia — before landing in Mexico one winter. I traded in my snowboard for a surfboard and never looked back.

Somewhere between the powder days, party waves, and the never-ending urge to explore, I realized I wanted to create something that captured that feeling — the one you get when you're doing exactly what you love.

That's what Stay Toasty means. It's that warm, stoked feeling — whether you're deep in a snow season, catching waves in the tropics, or feeling a little toasty after a few drinks with good company.

Now I'm living my dream life in Nayarit, Mexico, designing tees inspired by the culture that shaped me. Every design is my original artwork, made for the chill and the thrill.

Oh, and Loki — my dog — is the unofficial Stay Toasty mascot. You'll probably see him around.
